Our Vision
Our team is passionate about helping the Sovann Komar children become effective contributors to society by creating the brightest future possible for each and every one of them. Our community consists of foster parents, social workers, counselors, a doctor, educational coordinators, event directors, mentors, and staff members who strive for the success of each child.
Our Purpose
Sovann Komar was Founded in 2003 to provide a supportive family environment for 55 children in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, who had been abandoned or orphaned. With our holistic model, we help these children develop the necessary skills to become the next generation of leaders in Cambodia.
We aim to develop the teenagers under our guardianship into strong, compassionate, and giving individuals who will give back to their communities and their country. Our goal is to nurture and teach them life skills that will enable them to have a future of their own choosing.
We do so by introducing the children of Sovann Komar to various opportunities such as career exploring events, educational visits, entrepreneurial projects, vocational training, IT programming, art, traditional dance, and other activities that expose them to a wide array of career paths and skills for the future.
We are preparing them for life.
